The mandate: How do we recreate the tastes of the quintessential Christmas cake in a coffee?
The answer: Petit Cadeau or ‘little gift’ in French, a limited edition Christmas blend available until December 25th.
Most notably, this is our first Central American sourced coffee, a region home to some of the most expensive and seasonal beans. Selected from the Selva Negra Estate located in north-western Nicaragua, this arabica provides the body and finish with cacao and sweet caramel, cake-like tasting notes.
To help balance and provide fruity sweetness of raspberry and cherry, we’ve turned to the slopes of a dormant volcano, Mt. Meru, found in remote Tanzania. The fertile red volcanic soil and high altitude makes for incredibly rare yet near perfect conditions to grow specialty arabica.
Though made for milk-based drinkers, try this blend straight as espresso to appreciate the complexity of aromas and flavours.
